Biography

OBSERVATIONAL LOG -- SPECIMEN #8706489 "Cestode"
EXAMINER: Dr. Felicitus Blight

12.21.14. All three of Cestode's eggs successfully hatched. The morphology of the offspring was curious in every respect; one was virtually identical to Cestode, while the other two were just as similar to Tonguebiter. We were unable to sex the offspring; further study is required. We are still operating under the assumption that Cestode is in its larval form. One of the offspring, "Spica," was shipped to an independent researcher; the other two remain in our lab.

12.17.14. To assess Cestode's disposition, a Leafy Moth was placed in its cage. Cestode immediately displayed social behaviors toward it. We are cautiously optimistic regarding the positive domesticating effects of regulated social contact.

12.16.14. Specimen was discovered in the stool of a wild Mirror and shipped to Sorn Medical School. Findings from the initial examination were contradictory. While "Cestode" appeared to be in its larval stage, it was found together with a clutch of three eggs; analysis confirmed that Cestode was a parent of these eggs. The other parent was identified as Specimen #8706490, as yet unnamed. Along with Cestode and the eggs, it was transferred to the laboratory of Dr. Felicitus Blight for further study.
