as the sun hit the pearly white snow, my feet crunched against it packing it tightly in the shape of my foot. all these years i trained to do something great, something so astonishing that i would be able to live the rest of my life out rich from my success.

with a few more hours of traveling i made it to my destination, Rimbone stockhade.
the ice flight was notorious for two things, its prisoners, and its treasure. i planned on taking the treasure kept deep within this ancient vault. although i would have to wait until nightfall as the cover of darkness would protect me from scrying eyes.

burrowing deep into the snow i constructed a den of sorts that would do for now. as i waited i eventually drifted to sleep, dreaming of the easy life i would have after making my escape with all the treasure. i awoke to the hooting of an owl and knew it was time. digging my way back out i made sure to silence my footsteps, easy my breathing, and keep my body relaxed and low.

after dodging the sentries i started investigating the vault, i noticed a weak point, something i could claw at with my talons. making one last surveying look around I began to franticly chip away at the ice. two hours later i could squeeze my slim body through, and began investigating.

now the treasure was kept at the bottom and researchers had dens at the top. after i would sneak down further i assumed it would be easier from there. it was not.
after finally avoiding all the sleeping dragons I had to deal with the keepers i didn't know where here.

although i was lucky and these where somewhat stupid dragons. using the oldest trick in the book, i tossed a coin in the opposite direction and like a moth to a flame they moved towards it. slyly sneaking by i made it to the bottom floor, where all the glorious treasure was kept.

as my pupils expanded i quickly grabbed my satchel stuffing it with all the gold, silver, and gems my eyes could see. after finally calming down i looked around to see probably the most expensive piece of jewelry to exist in this vault. it had twelve onyx gemstones, the purest gold chain with detailed engravings, without thinking twice my greedy talons lunged for it despite me having enough to live my life out luxuriously, and that was my biggest mistake.

as the alarms awoke the dragons all throughout the vault i frantically looked for an escape only to realize it was all the way out where i came in from. taking a deep breath my legs ran faster than they've ever, my legs jumping gaps farther then i could imagine, and dodging goalers faster than i can comprehend.

i saw the light and made a final bolt for it, only to remember the sentry that was guarding the perimeter was still here. being tackled with the force of a truck i coughed up blood as my gold and jewels were beautifully sent cascading across the sky, shimmering like stars. i would have looked in awe if i didn't have to run like my life depended on it, which it did.

seeing no other escape i ran off the ledge, flapping my wings frantically and unorganized. as i plummeted into the sea i felt the cold spike as my feathers shot up. i risked my life and got nothing in return, going back to land i sighed a sigh of frustration and looked up, only to be met with a single silver coin. all i got from this trip, was a single, silver, coin.
