Biography

Alanna had really never wanted to be in charge of anything, but somehow she founded a clan somewhere along the way and now she supposes she should stay. Responsibility, and all that. Her methods of taking care of her clan fall more along the lines of protective warrior than clan leader, however, and sometimes she worries that the other dragons don't approve of her for that. She isn't about to change anything about herself because of other dragons' opinions, though - she's stubborn, if nothing else.

Sometimes these traits put her at odds with other dragons, but oftentimes they know of her prowess in both battle and magic-wielding that they don't dare challenge her. Or, in cases when they've made her angry enough, they politely and apologetically turn down her challenge to them. As a result, Alanna spends most of her fighting energy on non-clan beings, oftentimes non-dragon too. She doesn't mind, because she doesn't feel the need to prove herself against anything but her own responsibilities. Despite her disinclination to do any leading, other dragons still respect her. She prefers the title of founder over leader, and certainly doesn't give orders in any official capacity - really, she likes "warrior" better over anything else.

Her favourite times come when she's underestimated. She's certainly not one of the larger breeds, and she supposes that she doesn't look very menacing without her armor on (and many times not even then). On more than one occasion, a haughty dragon stopping by has looked down at her and decided that she wasn't "worthy" of being in such a high position in the clan. She corrects them first - she's not a leader, only a founder - and then teaches them a lesson about judging based on appearances. They don't mess with her or her clan again after that.
