Aitori
Head Mage & Magical Scholar
There is peace in silence

When he was just a hatchling, Aitori's parents knew something about their son was different. His siblings naturally became strong in their magic not long after hatching. They were joining in with the others in competitions and showing off before they were a year old. But not Aitori. No, their youngest son was more of an observer and didn't seem very keen on joining the others in the fight to become the best in their craft.

It wasn't as if he hated the magical gift his birth element had given him. He detested the arrogance and fruitless competitions the others held. It seemed to be the opposite of what the Arcanist would have wanted from the future generations.

He resolved to keep out of the battling. Each day he would sit on the tall hillside and watch his siblings and friends. He offered them silent support on the sidelines. it was interesting, at least. No two matches were the same. Simply by watching them, Aitori could predict the end result of the battles. He soon could even work out the formula for battles involving himself. Knowledge was as powerful a magic as any other, to the young dragon.

When he was old enough and grew tired of the same sights and smells-- and endless rambunctious noises- Aitori informed his kin that he was setting off for the world of Sornieth. Though the departure saddened his parents, it was something they had expected for quite some time. Their oddball son was never easy to predict.

Aitori set off from the Starfall Isles and began to travel to other places.
Finding a new home was actually difficult, he found. Some places were quiet like he wished, but were too quiet. Others bore darkness he didn't hold inside. For a while, he even joined a small group of Skydancers journeying to the Sunbeam Ruins. They were nice enough and even offered to let him stay with them, but he declined. He needed to find his own home, by himself. He needed his heart to find the one place in the world that would give its rhythm peace.

When Aitori first arrived at the Viridian Labyrinth, he was overwhelmed by the lush life that flowered all around him. Everything from streams and pebbles to great trees and vines sang to him. It was here. This is where Aitori would find his home.
Right, he was too.

He soon met Midori and it was as the fairy tales his mother sung to him late at night. She made his breath catch and smoke come out of his nostrils. Everything she did, even the odd things, were only seen as charming by the lovestruck dragon.

Their relationship blossomed and bloomed, like the Behemoth and its ever growing roots. It was everything he could have hoped for. He had companionship, a home, friends, and allies and when he needed it, there was always a nice nook in a tree he could curl into for a good read-- or nap.

His name roughly means Lovebird in Japanese.

His colors reminded me of those pretty little parrots.
