Personal Lore Notes:

THANATOS has initiated contact with Grimm due to the latter's intimate knowledge of mechanics and handling of scrap coding for Steelhounds and other automatons. Due to the generally isolated nature of Grimm, especially intensified by her naturally dull/greyscale colouration that repels fellow Coatls, THANATOS has found contact to be undisturbed by meddling third parties. Grimm's inherent Ice-aligned electromagnetic charge also draws THANATOS in and makes them feel oddly at ease and understood.

What THANATOS has found mildly disconcerting is the ability for Grimm to sense their communications. Although seemingly gremlin-like in nature to traditional draconic speaking dragons, with the noises they emit rather resembling fast-paced/slurred together confused chattering or snarling/spitting, THANATOS like other malware "emit electrical currents to shut down any system the viruses may come across." (WindSongGrove) Due to Grimm's installed Powered Implants aiding her ability of Coatls to distinguish minute vibrations, THANATOS' incomprehensible chattering and electromagnetic charges are translated into clear commands, directives, correspondences with fellow viruses, as well as generally strange, overly-complex Aether naming conventions for objects, experiences, and so on.

To Grimm, the sudden appearance of a hitchhiker within the Wayfaring Hovels is nothing of note for the purpose of the group is to wander to the edges of the Shifting Expanse. Travellers wishing to hitch a ride is common, thus THANATOS merely seems to be another wandering soul. However, for THANATOS Grimm's mechanical hovel in the build of a sea roach is the perfect vehicle to perform data mapping of the electromagnetic fields across the Shifting Expanse. Her Dark Sclera allow THANATOS to act as the data collection branch of malware, stationed in certain areas by Creeper (#76805678), Lovesan (#84922852), and Malware (#85514268) due to their Glowing eyes branch allowing them "carry traits of all other versions of the viruses when the hive calls for it" including the Bright eyed ability to know where everything is. THANATOS performs data mapping in Sornieth for known areas where electromagnetic energies are concentrated in order to gather detailed knowledge on the most powerful electrical currents. These currents can be manipulated by malware to shut down any system as previously mentioned, and are key to the hive's ability to spread and execute central commands. However, THANATOS has logged that leylines across the Shifting Expanse that pulse with the same magic of the Stormcatcher and Lightning Runestones are most accessible and easily manipulated by malware. Most coveted to the hive seem to be Light leylines and Light Runestones which appear to boost the investigations of the hive due to their particular electromagnetic wavelengths.

Of issue are the leylines and runestones of Wind, Earth, and especially Arcane. THANATOS has discovered that with her admittedly few interactions with each of these electromagnetic types they actively resist her manipulative commands. In fact, they react rather poorly with her own Lightning-based electromagnetic signals in dangerous, near fatal experiments. From their research, THANATOS theorizes that if the hive were to attempt to infect Wind, Earth, or Arcane dragons and/or objects, structures, and other subjects infused with those particular charges it would be nearly impossible and incredibly dangerous to the malware who attempt to do so under command of the hive.

What's more, the prevalence of Deeprealm Runestones and Traveller's Runestones on the coast bordering the Highland Scrub are of specialized interest to THANATOS. The electromagnetic charges they emit are incompatible with non-cyborg dragons of Sornieth, but THANATOS has been marginally successful with manipulating the energies of the Traveller's Runestones which enhance their data mapping abilities. However, the electromagnetic fields of Deeprealm Runestones are highly unstable and seem to pulse with their own shadowy infection...

Currently unexplored due to Grimm's own personal revulsion are the incredibly potent and fluctuating networks of electromagnetic Fire-aligned wavelengths southwest of the Charged Barrens. THANATOS has logged and reported this phenomenon to the hive.
