YITHIANS
Far before the deities of Sornieth were formed, an extinction-level event on Yith caused its dominant species to flee to other galaxies. Unable to survive space travel, Yithians invented devices that would allow them to swap minds with more durable hosts. The "Great Race" abused this power to gain immortality; every time their current body began to die, they would commandeer a new body. This forced swap resulted in the mass extinction of other species.

At some point, Yithians gained the technology to send themselves forward and backward in time to bring back knowledge. While less destructive than genocide, this practice was still traumatizing and non-consensual. Minds borrowed by the Yith are often haunted with memories of being displaced.

Although Yithians were eventually hunted to extinction by a rival race, they can still be encountered due to their time travel tendencies. Clanmates suffering from out-of-body experiences after a long bout of amnesia should be directed to councelling.
