Greer

"If you see Viktor lurking around here, tell that little slag to get out, or else. He isn't welcome by the graves, not with what he does to the unfortunate souls he finds."

As soon as he arrived to the Rotmarrow Clan, Greer designated himself the grave tender. Though the Clan's graveyard is small and consists mostly of fallen Familiars and empty memorial graves, Greer takes his duty very seriously and looks after the graveyard as if he's the tender of a sacred temple.

Born alone in the Tangled Wood, Greer has a very different outlook on life from most of his Clanmates. He seems to view life as one long, exciting journey to the peace of the next life, lending him a rather macabre personality. He often says things that are absolutely horrifying to most anyone else, but make perfect sense in his worldview. He is fully willing to lay down his life to protect the graves he cares for and thus the sacred souls he believes to lie within, and has a particular hatred for Viktor and Mindy because of their desecration of the corpses he wishes to help guide the spirits of to their next life.

Despite his somewhat unsettling demeanor and upsetting comments, Greer is beloved by Annette for his dedication to protecting the dead, and has made a few friends within the Rotmarrow Clan. His closest friend is another Aberration named Skadi, who he often visits in the hibernal den to check on. Regardless his reverence of the dead, he is highly compassionate to the living and would just as readily lay down his life for his Clan as he would the graves he cares so deeply for. He seems highly afraid of losing any of his Clanmates to the next life, and often follows Cocoa around to learn from her when he allows himself a break from his job. He sometimes wakes the hibernating dragons from their slumber to make sure they aren't actually dead, and is often teased by Mortis and Skadi for it. Lysander and Julia are more empathetic to his concerns, Wesley and Freya tolerate it, and Ender usually wakes up snarling at him.

While Greer absolutely detests Viktor and the Fae's attempts to cheat death (and is the only dragon Viktor is truly afraid of), he feels a strange mixture of emotions towards Mindy- a combination of pity, fear and hatred. The few times he made contact with her, his conflicted feelings only intensified. He dreads their next encounter.
