Cricket is the noisiest of the clove. Even though she's probably the friendliest, other than Beetle, her incessant whirring and purring can be grating to all but the most persistent clan dragons. Sometimes even the other Aethers will get annoyed with her never shutting up. On a lucky day, her noises will be like a soft song. On bad days it's a grating buzz.

Cricket loves the clan dragons, but would never admit it. Beetle is happy to tell her everything he's learning from them, but Cricket also loves to watch them herself, too. But she could never imagine actually talking to them, they hardly flap and flutter, let alone buzz and chirr like the rest of the clove. But Cricket loves when the clan dragons visit the garden, and loves when they show her new and strange things. She loves solving the mysteries if she's supposed to eat it or just look at it.

She doesn't like when the clan dragons make signs of aggression at her and her clove. Of course, Weevil is always spitting and buzzing with empty threats, but she knows the second things get serious, Moth will put their life on the line to protect and then Cricket is gonna have to put her life on the line for Moth. Annoying, it would all be. And then, if they all fight with the clan dragons, whose gonna bring her mysteries to eat, and squawk in funny ways when she wasn't supposed to eat it?
