Aurora

Uh-oh, looks like this purple moth wandered a little too far from her home lair (678004, kiwiandkennedy), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Aurora is a hunter. Most of her kind are not. She thinks them fools. She thinks of their happy naive faces and sneers. There is no room for that in her world.

Aurora is too deep her in loss, her listlessness and and dwelling on her Old Things. She is a melancholic sort, speaking to her leads your mind down those meandering old paths that take men to drink and poetry.
But she cares not.

Aurora hunts, not for furs, not for heads, and certainly not for prestige. She wants to eat them. Like a tiger, she stalks, leaps, and drags what she wants to where she pleases, only to eat them. She wants to eat every animal in the world, that's why she travels. She carries a list of every animal with her, and silently marks them off.

Aurora has no compulsion to eat paper, like the other members of her foolish species. She does not eat plants or insects. She only eats meat.

A while into her travels, Aurora reached the shores of New Islada, a subset of The Clan Evergreen that resides on the edge of the Worldedge Wetlands. Their king, a Bogsneak ironically named Patience, was one of the first to speak with her. Aurora was cold and distant, walking straight through the crowd, but stopped short at what appeared to be... living meat?

The creature stomped towards her, a skinless beast of a Bogsneak whose scent made Aurora's mouth water. She spoke with a crackley voice as if even speaking was a miracle of nature: "You hunt, as does Carrion. You and Carrion exist only to eat.... You and Carrion are sisters."

The interaction made Aurora's fur stand on end, and she immediately spread her wings and flew away, far, far away from this abomination called New Islada, momentarily forgetting her quest to devour in her terror. Was that what she was going to become - a nightmare always referring to herself in the third person?

In the large frozen city she met other dragons that enjoyed hunting for meat. She was offered a chance to go hunt with them in one of thier hunting parties. However she didn’t want to listen to the party leader and preferred to do her own thing which cost them the loss of much game since the hunting strategy failed when the game was spooked with her persistence to do her own thing. Uninvited for any more of the group hunting efforts she was left to do her own thing. Which was fine, She had plenty of new animals to snack on on the icy landscape
