Emperor Slayer
Gladius was said to be the first imperial to have slew an emperor. When the first emperor had formed, many dragons cowered in fear at its awful might. But Gladius rallied his fellow dragons and led combatants to slay the unholy amalgamation. After a hard fought battle that was said to have lasted 7 days and 7 nights, the emperor finally fell. Gladius was severely injured and his injuries would weaken him for the rest of his life.
The Flamecaller blessed Gladius for his brave deed with a ghastcrown and golden scales. Gladius continued his life as a legendary warrior until he finally fell to another emperor when helping dragons evacuate. A stray hit agitated his old injuries and he died from blood loss after the battle was over and adrenaline wore off. It is said that Gladius, draped in celebratory robes while wearing his signature crown will greet fallen warriors before guiding them to rest in the realm of the dead.
