One Late Night...

A few years back, there was a lone nocturne that fled from their birth clan in the shifting expanse. Off they flew to the land of the divine gladeskeeper. When they asked the deity what they could do to prove their loyalty, the great beast sent them off towards the icewardens domain. To capture the fabled shade that scourged the land. Though afraid, the nocturnes accepted and on his journey eventually found himself in the frigid ice fields. There they searched the mountains for shade creatures, but unfortunately when they came face to face with the creature they where no match for it's power. Within the bleak snowy mountains, they perished alone. Bitter that they would never fulfill their promise. Some who live by the great tree claim to have seen frozen foot prints stuck to the grass. Follow them, and you may find an ice sculpture, never melting despite the humid atmosphere. Hiding in shame from the gladeskeeper, afraid of admitting their failure to the great god.
