Lavender

Lavender (dragon one) and Nightshade (dragon two) were very outgoing and ambitious dragons growing up. They were inseperable sisters who had the same interests as each other. They loved to do everything together and neither ever wanted to complete a task when the other was not around for it. Under the careful protection of their clan, they have finally grown up to hunt and explore the world on their own.

After a very successful coming of age ceremony, everyone watched with joyful yet saddened gazes as both set off into the distance. Everyone knew that the moment they step foot off the clan boundaries, they'll be able to make decisions for themselves including joining or starting new clans. This is the first time they have ever set foot off the den without any supervision and both couldn't hide the excitement. Since children, they've always wanted to join a clan with similar dragons, or even better, to start one of their own. Even though they wanted to stay with their family forever, both wanted to fulfull their ambitions so there was no hesitation to start exploring the new world.

After a few days of settling down at different campsites, meeting strangers, and exploring further into the large forest, they have yet to meet the perfect pack to fit into. However, very clearly the talents of each can be seen. Lavender has great navigation and memory, while Nightshade is great with hunting and has mastered all five senses. Together, they make a perfect team to be out in the wild.

Soon, they come across a set of new boundaries. As the forest opens up, they see a vast open area with three dens (these are referring to my own themed dragon lair) residing in the middle. As they approach, new faces can be seen stopping what they're doing and glaring at them. The sisters become more wary as these strangers could be friend or foe. Fortunately, it seems many dragons appear quite friendly to Lavender. Many begin approaching her to get to know her and ask if she would be interested in joining the Clan of Amethyst (I have 3 themed clans based on different colour schemes). Lavender smiled widely how quickly she was accepted into a new clan. She turned around to see the disappointment on Nightshade's face and realized the dragons don't seem too friendly to Nightshade. Quickly, she added that she would only join if her sister Nightshade could join the pack as well. There was only silence as the dragons looked at each other not knowing what to do. With the current atmosphere, the sisters could tell that Nightshade didn't seem to fit in with the dens with her darker colour scheme. As upset as Nightshade is, she saw the excitement on her sister's face and wanted to support her joining the new clan. She knew that by letting her sister go, at least one of them will be able to achieve their childhood dream.

Lavender was torn on making the decision of following her sister or joining a new clan which has always been something she wanted to do. But with some thought, Lavender chose Nightshade because goals must be achieved together. Lavender kindly thanks the clan for the opportunity, but proceeds to leave with Nightshade. Just as they are about to walk away, suddenly, a majestic reddish-pink dragon emerges from the shadows of one of the dens and approaches the sisters. She immediately has a friendly face and introduces herself as Ruby, the grand leader of the pack and subclan Amethyst. She studied Nightshade a bit and after some careful thought, embraces both Lavender and Nightshade with open arms.

"I heard what you were saying in the distance, and I admire the bond you two have with each other. No matter the colour scheme, our clan is constantly looking to expand and I would love to see it start with you Nightshade as you do have a unique dark colour with tints of purple and blue. The bond of you two is admirable and I would hate to be the one to destroy that. So, if both of you are willing, I humbly welcome you both to the clan, and I hope to see the beauty you two will bring here."

The joy on the sisters' faces as they jump around each other in excitement as they will be able to fulfill their childhood dreams and most importantly, do it together.
