As the daughter of an incredibly rich merchant, Irina lived her early years in the lap of luxury. She could have anything she wanted at the snap of a talon. She very much enjoyed this life- until she found who she thinks is her soulmate. Her family attended the Sornieth-famous Circe's Circus, in the luxury seats, of course. After the show she found herself talking to one of the Circus' workers- a Ridgeback by the name of Sideshow. They talked for hours and hours, and for the next week, Irina snuck out to meet with him. Her family forbid them from having a relationship, though, and the Circus soon moved on- leaving Irina behind.
After that, Irina no longer enjoyed her life. She had all the wealth in the world, and yet she couldn't have the one thing she wanted. After a while, she couldn't stand it anymore. She stole as much treasure and as many gems as she could carry, and ran away from home. She met Legato while she traveled, and he knew of Circe's Circus. Irina chose to stay with the Kitetail Caravan, and she now travels with them across all of Sornieth. She desperately hoped to cross paths with Sideshow once again- and she knew he felt the same. She just knew it.
After several years, Circe's Circus happened to cross paths with the Kitetail Caravan. Irina was there, of course, and she made eye contact with Sideshow right in the middle of the performance. He immediately abandoned his position and the two ran off, leaving the circus in ruins. The two now live together in the Caravan as happy lovebirds, and many of the other dragons idolize them as a perfect relationship.
One more interesting trait of Irina is her involvement in what is essentially a secret society. The sharp chrysoberyl earring dangling from her horn shows this involvement. What exactly this group is or does isn't known, and Irina is sworn to secrecy.
