CLAN MATRIARCH

B I O G R A P H Y

The Arcanist threw his messy stack of scrolls on the massive desk. He sighed, it was time to pause his furious cataloging of the cosmos and create progenitors to foster clans full of his acolytes. His spindly arms moved at light speed as he made the progenitors for the day. As he crafted a purple Fae, he heard the faint whisper of the cosmos in; to make her resilient, as she'd need it to raise her rowdy clan. He called it cosmic intuition, but most would call it the product of an overstimulated mind.

Hera was made to be strong, unwavering, a constant force. The first of her generation, she had no family to teach her. She and her mate, Zeus, taught themselves to be firm parents to a constantly buzzing clan. As a Matriarch should be, she is motherly, nurturing, and wise. She does her best to understand all, hear every side of a story, and give advice. She is dearly beloved by all in her clan. Hera is a forgiving leader, but has never suppressed the need to be stern or put a dragon in their place.

She finds much strength in her mate, Zeus. They were made as two halves of one capable leader. They had to be, as leading the Dusk Clan has proven to be absolutely exhausting. Hera had to be a solid force in a clan full of Spirals, the most exhausting breed in dragonkind. She never lets anyone but Zeus know of her exhaustion and struggle, feeling the need to never potentially guilt any of her adopted children. As the years have passed, Hera has been the rock of an ever-changing family.

B I O G R A P H Y

Hera has tried her hand at many trades, crafts, and occupations. Across the board, she's a jack of all trades. Hera constantly needs to be doing something with her claws, and luckily, she has a knack for weaving dainty silks. Between the constant clan duties she has to fulfill, she never finds much time to indulge in her favorite hobby. When she has down time, her claws never stop moving. Hera has taken it upon herself to weave something for everyone in the Dusk Clan, to remind them: they're family.

Besides weaving, Hera also has an aptitude for mentoring. Her proficiency in many talents comes in handy, as she has sufficient capability to teach a dragon the foundation of many skills. Once they know the essentials, they can pursue mastery, and help the Dusk Clan continue to grow. Along with teaching, she deals with a lot of emotional problems in the clan, assigns members tasks, and often has to act as a priestess in clan ceremonies.

It's very difficult to lead a large, chaotic family while upholding many jobs when there are only twenty four hours in a day. Yet somehow, Hera manages to do it all, and then some. She finds no comfort greater than a to-do list with every box marked. But still, once every box is checked, she continues to make her rounds. Every dragon in the Dusk Clan hopes to be half as great as she is. Hera finds great energy in knowing that her rambunctious family trusts her and is proud to call her their Mother. And although they all cause a lot of worry, she's very proud to call them her children.
