What is a Redtide Dragon?
Redtides, who originally came from the bright, sunlight waters of the tropics descending from Guardians who themselves sought to protect such areas in the beginning are often seen protecting specific areas of those shallow seas or mortal cities which are close to the ocean.
A Redtide has no effect on luck, often appearing in times of great need, their various red hues enchanting mortals as their bright colouration led to the name of their species, mortals will often seek out the Redtide for advice, or even blessing to travel through their territory. Redtides rarely if ever leave a city once they have found their ideal lair, and often provide wisdom and protection to that city.
Redtides prefer peace over war and seem to dissuade their mortals from starting such wars, but will fight if needs must, creating red tides as a truly last resort for war never sits well with a Redtide.
