"it would seem this little one has wandered alittle to far from his nest. i wonder how long he was been removed from other gaolers, for he does not seem to exhibit any of the normal behaviors of his kind."

"Rust" is the name that Lyre and the other members of the clan gave him because of his orange colored fur. since he was found alone and far way from the Southern Icefield they new his parents where near by to tell them what his name was...

Oud (ok, Boon was the first to theorize this Oud just took the credit) hypothesized that Rust has been away from other gaolers since a very early age, since he show none of the stern, no-nonsense behaviors they are known for. but he still maintains the "aggressively protecting" that some would say gaolers do exhibit. ?

Rust LOVES to collect things. shiny things are particularly interesting to him. as a hatchling he would claim a small corner of the den and fill it up with the items he collected (most of which where from the clan's hoard) and guarded all his "finds" aggressively. he would so angry whenever anyone get's close that he often wears himself out and he falls asleep. once he fell asleep you couldn't wake him up. this is when Lyre would brush his fur or just cuddly the little fur baby.
now as an adult he leads the scavenging expeditions for the clan, and he does still have a personal hoard full of things that he found for himself this time.
