So me & my family are getting ready to move. Me: Across the country to go to college. Everyone else: Another continent. Fun times! It is during this time that my mother's partner downloads Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus. Me and my sister check it out while we have some free time. She immediately gravitates to Faust and with her superior gaming skills proceeds to demolish me. I go through a few characters, trying to find one I like. A.B.A is SLOW. Ah, this guy's pretty fast. Just... punches though? Man, I don't wanna get close to Faust... I finally stumble into Testament. Looks cool and... oh! Not stupid slow and I can play at a range? I have never played a fighting game before AC+ and Faust was scary with my sister behind the wheel. Later, not realizing that you can access the moves list in-game, I look up Testament to figure out how to better play them and find out they're canonically agender. I already liked them and had chosen them as the character I was going to play as but oh, man. That ratcheted them from "Cool Character!" right up into "This is my favorite character ever." Or, well, it wasn't that immediate but it definitely gave them a massive leap to that slot. Every day the Testament brainrot steeps further. They now own at least a quarter of my brain's processing. It's like leaving a tea bag in your cup and you mean to take it out after three minutes and proceed to forget it exists for three days. I love tea. I also love Testament. If you know me in real life and ignored the earlier warnings to turn back, please never mention what you have found here. Let me steep in my Teastement in peace. Wow. I am ashamed I even typed that.

I enjoy playing Testament. Am I good? I doubt it. I keep seeing people talk about "Roman Cancels" and such and I have no idea what that is. Okizeme? Keeping things neutral? That said, I'm at least determined. And I get better every time I play. We never realized that we could change AC+ into AC+R in the menu until a few days before I left though so I've mostly played AC+ version of Testament. The delayed EXE Beasts kinda mess me up. Lucht Warrant is pretty great though. I need to get a controller so I can play on my laptop. I WILL get better at playing Testament. Side note: I once managed to very cleverly place a bunch of traps down such that my sister got cursed, hit into a HITOMI, and then launched into a Zeinest from said HITOMI. And then I think I punched her until she fell down and then dusted her. It was glorious and the rush you get from screwing someone over with a well placed Zeinest is very fun. Side note 2: I generally just type in lowercase or mixed casually. If something has weird or unusual stylings and I respect it that is a direct correlation to how much I enjoy/respect said thing. Catch me calling EXE Beast "exe beast" NEVER. OVER MY DEAD BODY. I will never intentionally mis-style a Ling tosite sigure song, for example. still a Sigure virgin? will NOT have the first letter capitalized even if it begins a sentence, thank you very much, because then I'd be disrespecting the styling of the album name. It's like a cast iron pan. There are some lines you don't cross.
