Kal is the leader of clan Kar'ta, and extremely dedicated to Light. Before she founded this clan she had wandered the lands looking for her charge. When she did not find him after many years of searching she became frustrated and violent. She engaged in any battles she came across, not caring which side she fought for. This changed when she happened upon a tundra in battle. The tundra was obviously frightened, he claimed he had gotten accidentally mixed up in the fight and could not protect himself. Kal felt something for this tundra. She knew inside that he wasn't her charge, but she still vowed to protect him. After this battle Kal learned that the tundra's name was Cabur. They spent much time together, slowly but surely falling in love. Cabur's constant presence eased Kal's frustrations and he helped her find love in life again.

Kal does not make all of the gift packages sent from the clan, but she does approve all of them. For packages sent to leaders of important allies, she does help in the process of making them, often personally picking all of the items out.
