Diath

Inverness’ clan chieftain, Diath, has aways been troubled about his lack of history.
He doesn’t remember hatching, egg shards, or even being a hatchling.
He just was.

One evening he had a vision/dream. Two dragons claiming to represent both the Gladekeeper and the Earthshaker appeared to him with a message from them.
He was told that even though he was not their biological offspring.
He is a result of a collaboration between them, an experiment, a hopeful example to show that the Flights can cooperate and one day come back together.
Diath was invited to join and experience Earth Flight.
After considerable thought, he accepted.
“The vision may be false," He tells all who ask why, "But, should you take the risk turning down a deity's invitation?”
He and clan Inverness have been members of Earth Flight ever since, but still declare allegiance to Nature Flight also.

Calysta approached Diath, he was brooding again staring out over the tree-line.
“Okay, what is bothering you?”
“Huh? what do you mean?”
“Come on Dear, I know you. Something has been bothering you for days.”
He turned to her, forced a smile, “Thank you.”
“For what?’
“ Being.”
She smiled back at him.“So?”
“I’ve been thinking we should return to Gladekeeper.”
“About time.”
He gave her a questioning look. She shook her head. “Look around you,
You’ve spent the last few months turning Lulungomeena into a, well a Nature island.
You’ve even started importing chickadees. Don’t worry. Everyone thinks I’m doing it.” Her smile made him smile also.
“ I do like their ‘chic a dee dee’ song.” He mused. “How will the others.... the last move
over a third of the clan left.”
“We won’t be “moving” just switching which banner we fly. We’ll still be here on the island, right?” He nodded. “Then the others will accept the switch fine.”
Diath straightened himself, took a deep breath and let it out, “I’ll speak with Cimmeron and Sonnet. I'm sure they will not have an issue with this, well, Cim may."
“I’m sure she’ll understand.”
Diath, Cimmeron and Sonnet informed the communities of Inverness. They would remain on Lulungomeena and become officially Nature Flight once more, but would still declare dual allegiance to both Earth and Nature.
It was also decided that the clan would eventually split time between the two flights.
