wHOOpS looks like another song fandragon turned splatoon oc....
not exactly what i was originally hoping/looking for in a melody songderg (the colours/genes alligning with all 3 games and their respective combos), but it ends up working pretty well tbh!

but the fit just looks SO GOOD*.... and they can fit a role i had a vague design sketch for but never properly fleshed out: the final member of blitz's league team!

*the headband looks like a beanie... THE HEADBAND LOOKS LIKE A BEANIE!!!

gotta figure out the rest of the teams (seafoam & coral) roles since i have the rest pretty much figured out (blitz - agent 4/pro league battler/photography major, byte - agent 8/sheldon's apprentice/pro league battler (sub), rush - ex-elite octoling/clothing tech*/pro league battler, melody - pro league battler/art major)

*fleshed rush out a bit with one of my trying-to-sleep-think-of-story au's so im grabbing the details from that > rush manufactured gear for the group the au was based around, so they work with all kinds of gear and adding the abilities to them! so they'd have a plain shirt or hat or shoes, and then their job is to add on the ability for them to have, well, ability slots and stuff! its one of the things they might have been doing in the domes, but getting used to the restricted 'one main three subs' took a while for them to get used to (in the domes they would have had as many as it could handle, so some gear may have 4 total abilities like your average surface gear would, but others might have more or less)

i know seafoam and rush help octos when they arrive on the surface, in particular befriending parade when he ventures out in search for seep because he recognizes rush.. maybe?
other than that i have nothing for them

*gotta figure out his hairstyle since i dont think im using the original one i sketched, and depending on what one i go with i may style the colours similar to how yoko has multiple different coloured tentacles?
