No one really knows where the Space Sphere actually came from. One night there was a loud thud to be heard near the Cliffs, and the dragons who went to investigate found him crashed on the beach – he appeared to be quite confused, but mostly unharmed. It was immediately very friendly (although a bit too social at times) and quickly became a beloved member of the Clockwork Cliffs community. It was given the nickname "Spacey" by Stain, because they thought its original name was too long and formal, which is frequently used to refer to it now.

Divination, the town's technician, has taken a special interest in Spacey and particularly the way his body functions – because it is visibly not of an organic origin. Due to this, Divination is also the only one who can help him with treating any potential injuries and the two get along well.

Spacey has many stories to tell of space, as well as two other planets it claims to have visited, and is quite popular with hatchlings and exceptionally adventurous dragons because of this.
