Biography

Originally hailing from a peaceful clan of Wind Dragons, a noble and ancient family of hunters and gatherers who's highest calling in life was the duty tasked to them by generations long past, Stormstrider was, what he would call, miserable. He was adopted from his birth family into the Clan of Wind Dragons, and their droll, menial tasks of foraging for vegetation bored him to no end. His nature drove his desires to far more than the life of the noble farmers. His calling was risk, chance, reward. His desire was victory. His was a path that would lead him through pitfalls, put life and limb on the line, risk losing everything for the chance to grab at so much more.

At first, his only goal was to join the hunters, but that only lead to disappointment as he found no such glory in defeating the tranquil creatures of the Zephyr Steppes. Using the distraction of a particularly ornery beast, Stormstrider took off, crossing the glimmering waters into the dusky ash of the Great Furnace.

There, he encountered an equally young Guardian from a clan of Water Dragons named Flare. The two allied with each other, not necessarily what either would call a friendship, and determined to create a powerful clan that would be known for its incomparable combat skills. They traveled to local regions searching for a suitable nest for their new clan. During their travels, they met a strange Shadow Dragon by the name of Bogflower in the Wispwillow Grove of the Tangled Wood. This one was a touch older, and it seemed his time among the tricksters had certain taken its toll on his sanity. He joined with the clan after some deception on Stormstrider's behalf, and the three soon found their home within the Lightning Farm of the Stormcatcher's Shifting Expanse. Stormstrider and Flare professed their allegiance to the lightning deity for political stature with their new neighbors.

He and Flare decided that mating would be advantageous to them. Any would-be offspring would make a reasonable chance of opening up economic expansion for the clan at a later date, either by selling or exalting their offspring. At any rate, if any of the offspring weren't particularly detestable, they would make for good entertainment.

Stormstrider is far from what anyone would consider a warrior. He is cowardly and sly, his superiority complex and wickedness often clashing with those around him. He doesn't handle joking or any silly celebrations, and as such often finds Bogflower to be trifling. His highest point is his ambition, his heart-bound desire to achieve greatness. Those that clash with his more characteristic flaws are often left with a tinge of self-loathing as they find themselves inspired by his passion. He is a leader and a planner, and nothing impresses him more than raw power, which is why he immediately took to Flare. His voice is smooth, serpentine, and deep, rolling off his tongue like every word was an order to execute a prisoner. Physically lacking, he relies on his magical prowess to aid his team in battle, hiding behind his physically stronger allies and casting bolt of lightning on their opponents. Though his clan ties him to one spot, he aches for migration and travel. Thus, he chooses to join his scavenging team as their leader during his times away from the Colosseum.
