A single egg tumbled down into the hoard of a passing dragon clan, being taken with them into their new home. Nobody took notice to this mystery egg, the warmth of items in the hoard helping create good enough conditions for this tiny nocturne egg to hatch. This clan was a collection of devoted followers of Lightweaver, a collection of imperials and pearlcatchers making their way to worship the deity. As part of passage, they blind folded themselves and trusted in Lightweaver to guide them. Dragons not from the realm of Lightweaver were not taken kindly to, anyone found mating with them disowned from the heavily devoted clan. When Mariya was hatched from this lone egg, she was tormented by her curse of many eyes. Some dragons believed she was a gift from Lightweaver to become a great oracle while others believed she was a monster given to Lightweaver by Shadowbinder as a trick due to her origins from the Tangled Wood. After she was discovered to be parent-less she was sent to the Auction House by her clan to be bought by another unsuspecting clan to take on her bad luck and her horrible deformity. Mariya was in the auction house for many days and night, waiting to find a home where she could find her true form. She simply wished to be loved by someone who could find her beautiful and make her feel beautiful. When she was encountered on the Auction House by the DinosOftheCosmos Clan Mother, Carnation, she was quickly bought and brought to the new clan. Once she arrived she was introduced to other parentless dragons bought from the Auction House that were the same breed as her. She was even introduced to another dragon with the same eyes as her. Once she was comfortable in the lair, she was introduced to the imperial scryer to find her a form she liked. It was found she would be comfortable as an obelisk dragon with gorgeous genes to compliment her unique eyes. It was also here in the lair that she found solace with a familiar that was as colorful as she was. Now the pair were inseparable. This lair in the Starfall Isle and the Starwood Strand is now home for Mariya where she will grow and become comfortable as herself. (DinosOftheCosmos) |
