Nearly banished after being afflicted with lycanthropy after being a warrior for the clan for years, her parents advocated for her to remain, and with Estella's status, Saunek was allowed to stay.

Saunek, seeking a cure, would run into Garnet, a librarian with a penchant for messing around with long forgotten magic. Although promising prestige for helping her, Saunek would end up sticking around longer, learning to love herself and each other.
