Biography
Drey
• hoard guard
xxxTheme song: None yet
Battle theme:None yet
As totemclan grew more and more financially stable, there came a need for dragons to guard the hoard. Isolde offered to take the job, already having unofficially taken the role of treasurer, but Iophiel denied her of that right due to her spending habits. However, finding dragons that could take the job proved to be difficult, until Basil suggested inviting two of his currently traveling siblings to stay with them.
Like magic, two dragons appeared the very next day after Iophiel gave the okay; Aife and Drey.
Dutifully working and silently guarding the hoard, it seemed like they were here just to work, and not so much to socialize.
Drey was... a bit much for the dragons to get used to. His thousand yard, cold glare could even get the bravest to stop talking in his presence, and his silence was freqnently seen as a sign of annoyance.
In reality... Drey is actually quite nice, making food for dragons that have forgotten to get some for themselves, using his strenght to help carry stuff and watching over the hatchlings of the clan.
The delivery is just... rather awkward, since Drey isn't really good at expressing himself.
When he makes someone food, he calls their name (which is scary to most clan members), walks up to the person, and holds out a box for them to take. It's... painfully awkward to watch, especially when dragons flee because of how they precieve him. No-one can really tell, but events to those do get to the obelisk, and it takes Basil and Drey's best friend Adoril quite some time to cheer the green and pink dragon up- nothing's wrong with him, the clan will warm up to him soon enough! Anf if they don't, then that just means they're not that great to begin with.
Something that would most definitely happen faster if others would see how Drey is with his pets.
Drey does not smile, but when he's in his own room, surrounded by his small hamsters and their many toys and treats, he relaxes and seems a lot softer- mostly because he smiles. The obelisk has a talent for making toys for the small rodents, and the fact they all seem to love climbing all over him just proves he's an amazing hamster dad.
...If only the clan could see that side of the large, scary obelisk..

In recent times, Drey got a little follower- a deer-like creature with odd ears. Basil seems to have something that is similar- though it looks very diffrent. Unlike Basil's deer, Drey's doesn't really sing, it just follows the guard around, serving as a companion to the intimidating dragon, staring at dragons who are afraid like they're stupid.
Drey doesn't comments on the creature's presence- per usual it's hard to tell what he truly thinks about them... ...It's nice they're not afraid ... |
Relationships
Ardor is Drey's best friend, and the only one outside of the family who seems able to read Drey like a book. The two of them are a typical case of opposite becoming the best of friends, and Drey values this friendship far more than he ever feels like he'll be able to express. Luckily Ardor is fully aware of just how much Drey appreciates her. |
Aife is Drey's older sister, and is also having trouble expressing herself. She's dilligent, hardworking and comes up with some creative solutions to problems. However, due to how hard to read she is, she doesn't have many friends. Drey followed her when she went to join Totemclan a while back. She's one of the hoard guards, along with him. |
Basil is Drey's younger brother, and has a much easier time expressing himself and making friends, despite the awkwardness he occasionally has. Basil loves to make clothing for his siblings, but Drey rarely if ever wears it, because he's afraid of ripping it, so instead he frames the apparel Basil gives him, much to Basil's embarrasement. |
