Biography

firstgennature_by_wesleydog-d8ww2c1.gif

"It's not kidnapping!!! It's... Surprise adopting!"
Kind, Spontaneous, Enthusiastic
Name means: Of The Sea

Marni doesn’t remember where she came from. Her earliest memories are of Nathair - having each other’s backs in the whistling winds of that first Winter. They make it to the Glade and watch their Clan grow, grow, grow. Friends are made of strangers that come from near and far, and the rest is history.

There is nothing before this.

Erwyn , who has been here almost as long as she has, has some ideas about this. Whenever the subject comes up, he likes to tell an old Scale Tale someone told him when he was very newly hatched, before he was traded on meager treasure and the promise of friendship...
Quote:
"There are many dragons that wander this world with no origin. No memories, no clan, no lineage, no clues... These dragons are descended directly from our gods.
In the Viridian Forest specifically, great blooms sprout up from the ancient footsteps of Our Mother herself... The Gladekeeper.
These dragons emerge from the blooms, sometimes fully formed, bearing her blessing. They are the closest to the divine one can come without being exalted."

Marni usually laughs when she hears this story, turns away, stares out into the darkness over the firelight bewildered. She's sure her friend is just saying this to be kind - it’s not uncommon to hear of a dragon that walks away from their clutch of eggs and doesn’t look back. Wouldn’t you want to believe that your life was the stuff of legends, if abandonment was the only alternative?

She doesn’t like to think too hard about it.

Marni leads with her heart over her head more often than not. While her heart is always in the right place, not thinking things through can get her into trouble more often than not. She's lucky she has the mild-mannered Nathair there to bring her back down to Sornieth.

Friends - Rox, Apophis, Erwyn, Malia
Mate - Nathair
