Deep in a foreign mindscape, a demon flits through a waking nightmare with quiet curiosity. Though the theater is grandiose, the stench of mold and mildew permeates the building and visible destruction from an unknown, outside force is visible wherever she looks. She steps into the atrium, and is hit with the full force of a presence. She leaps into the air, beating her wings in frantic flight as a beast pounces on the spot she was standing just moments before. The beast, a hulking mass of red and white fur, twists to look up at her. He bares his teeth, a low rumble shaking his chest, but even the intimidating display cannot distract the demoness from the shining intellect in the beast's eyes. "You must leave this place, before it devours you." It is a command and a plea, and the demoness frowns at the words. She lands, perched atop a ledge, and peers down at the beast. Underneath his guise of foxfur and teeth, she sees nothing more than a harried, starving dragon. Pity wells in the demon's heart, and she offers the monster a deal; give her a fraction of his power, and she will protect this failing dream alongside him. With some trepidation, the beast takes the deal. He cannot deny the offer of companionship, not after a lifetime of solitude. The demon takes the beast's power, and instills it into eggs. Their children will carry a fraction of their power, and will have a strong connection to the unconscious mind. Daydream was created third. Unlike her siblings, she specializes in putting her targets to sleep and dragging them into her own dreamscape. She has an innate distaste for any dreams she did not create, and scorns dragons who fall asleep without her influence. Often, her hunting style is difficult to pin down, for it looks to any outsider as a dragon getting lost in thought -- until they collapse, soul devoured in an inescapable daydream.
