The warehouse where GENESIS was kept was once guarded by advanced security drones. When the Nexonicks Corp. shut down, the drones were supposed to go along with it - the more advanced system replaced with simple faux cameras to discourage vandals and thieves.

Such flimsy efforts wouldn't have kept out even the least motivated thief, but by pure luck one drone remained active despite everything. Drone kept out the majority of troublemakers for years - until Ada came along.

Drone's efforts to ward off the clever hacker were for naught, and when Ada managed to reactive GENESIS, Drone had no choice but to follow them.
