Morte, born as one of Nexus' daughters, had received her mother's gift in agility and combat, alongside an affinity for the elements. However, she found herself drawn to the vibrant life of nature and had honed her magic and strength as a surveyor to the lands weekly, alongside conservation efforts.

On a fateful day while she is taking a rest at Starwood Strand on the journey home, she encounters a wounded fae with a destroyed nest, and after efforts to find his parents went futile, she decided to take the orphaned fae under her wing, naming him "Obie". While her line of work leaves her little time to spend with her son, Morte loves Obie dearly and still makes space in her crowded schedule for time together. Obie refers to her as "Mommy".

Ribena had been her closest friend ever since they were hatchlings, and they had been through and seen many things together. Ribena is not as keen as travelling as she is, claiming it makes her eyes feel dried out, but it ended up suiting their lifestyles and family.

Morte also has a little brother named Qihei. She had heard little bits of his life from her mother on her stop-overs at the Arcane region, and had been skeptical but also surprised that her clumsy, naive brother had found a mate, with an Imperial. She hopes to find time to meet him someday.
