Jim

Jim, originally a plague dragon, is a special case-- a pearlcatcher who lost his pearl. This loss was entirely his own fault, as when he was a child, he took some research just a bit too far-- resulting in its destruction. He was cast out of his clan, and began roaming the world in search of a purpose. He was called a dragon without a soul, and he didn't care enough to change that reputation. After all, what use did he have for a soul?

In his travels, he found Peony, an Imperial who felt a bit too pressured by the expectations put on him by the water flight. The two became fast friends, and set out to travel together. As they grew up, their relationship deepened, and the two fell in love. It wasn't until they met and rescued Kay, an abandoned ice dragon, that they finally settled down in the Forest Haven to raise their daughter.

Jim inhabits an office high in the treetops, where he can get a good view of the surrounding areas. He still persists in his science experiments, often visiting the Arcane Flight and the Plague Flight in search of new data.

His science experiments are tooooootally ethical btw. You can trust him bc he wears glasses!
