Biography
Velora's left hand and best friend
Degan came to Velora as soon as she had completed her first room. It was little more than an elegantly carved hole in the ground but he saw the potential. He asked to be made a part of her clan.
Velora scoffed, what clan? She was the only one there, bitterly alone. The guardian did let slip, however, that she wished to make it bigger, fill it with children and make it a home all dragons would envy. Degan was no good at carving and was a poor digger but children he could get for her.
Before Velora could say a word he flitted off to find some. For her part Velora was left feeling that he was a very strange dragon but she decided she liked him none the less. When he returned to her with orphans and outlaws, strays and curious wanderers she welcomed them all and he was given a high seat at her court and the freedom to breed and return to his travels whenever he chose.
One year the Fae strayed too far for too long at the Starfall Isles. He had always had a fascination with the place, so different and more brilliant than anything in Dragonhome. There was a cave within the Crystalspines that he wandered into enthralled with how the light of the sun was carried down even to the deepest depths via well placed reflections. The pure brilliance of it!
Sadly, he quickly got lost in the catacomb like tunnels. It wasn't until he blundered into a Arcane Flight's clan den that he was finally able to find his way out. But even then it was a struggle, by then he had some become crystalline himself, like the cavern walls he'd wandered, the inquisitive dragons were fascinated with him and begged him to stay so they could study how the change happened and possibly replicate it.
Degan however was terribly homesick and nimbly fled their lair. Upon returning to the Entropic Heart he found them in a flurry of activity. Apparently, Velora and Meena had sent out several search parties for him and were preparing to leave themselves. When he presented himself to them they didn't recognize him and quickly enlisted his help in the search for himself! Laughed, glittering and sparkling, when Meena suddenly realized she had heard that laugh before and his colors matched their missing dragon perfectly! He was home and the clan couldn't be happier.
Except Velora, who was angry at for disappearing for so long and grounded him for a year.
