"Knowledge is power. And I desire power."

Rafael is the leader of the secret society coloquially known as the "Blue Spiral Cult". Whereas most Wind dragons are free spirited and relaxed, Rafael was dissatisfied taking life's blows as they came. He instead hungered for a greater, purer truth. Rafael's quest for knowledge brought him to Sepiida Academy, where he came into contact with other dragons similar to himself. Those who felt out of place in their flight of origin, those who wanted to know more about what life and living had to offer.

The Blue Spiral Cult aims to push the boundaries of what is realistically possible and morally acceptable. The most successful of the Cult's experiments so far have combined magic and science in attempts to create life itself. By splicing the genetics of an ordinary house cat and a stillborn Aether egg, a new lifeform was generated. This creature resembled an ordinary Aether hatchling, but it assumed the coloring, mannerisms, and speech of a cat. However, Subject 01 escaped the testing facility and the Cult later learned that he had been captured and sold at an exotic pet fair in Plague Territory. Repeating the experiment yielded Subject 02, who was entrusted to Amadeus and Chantilly. (out of space, go to their bios to keep reading lol)
