Alexie is inherently mute, he has taken on the habit of keeping record of one single word each day that recapitulate what happened in that single day. So for the chance of if he ever finds his voice, he can make up for each day he remained silent to his mate, Elelror.
He is the leader of a group of messengers, each member charting out unknown lands during their travels. Ever since his departure from the quint shoe store where he use to work.

Several years ago...
Alexie was previously an apprentice of a shoemaker.
It wasn't very good business nor was his teacher very famous, but Alexie was simply attracted to the art of it. He did not like shoes or anything of that sort, he was just enthralled by the process of creating such things that no dragon he ever knew even wore.
He is dreadfully clumsy with such crafts that require fine hands. While he boasts a wondrous affinity with mathematics and chemistry, such skills were never really useful with his area of career other than sorting raw materials and counting orders.
