Cruella acts as though she is leader of the clan, which suits it's real leader, Libretto, well. Her powerful form and personality domineer others and help her get what she wants. What Cruella wants, she gets.

At first glance, she seems to be a piebald/paint dragon, but her black spots are actually pure shade that she can choose to keep still or move to suit her feelings at will. This is due to the Steelsinger's innovation of using sound waves to influence minds.

Without Libretto's help, Cruella would have lost her sense of self, something a prideful dragon like her could never do with. This is the way he managed to earn the loyalty of a dragon that puts herself before all others.
