It started when he was barely just out of hatchlinghood - he'd read a book, and he ate the book, and then he decided that he was going to find the author.

Like most of his siblings, travel doesn't feel like anything special - it's hard to feel homesick when you can sense your parents and your clutchmates at all times, and getting lost isn't really a concern. So it doesn't feel as outrageous to him as it might to someone else when he decides:
