This dragon Spectra is an artist who has been drawing as soon as she hatched from the otherworld nests and into Skyhaven. Her hatchery guardian gave her, her very first quill and ink. Since then her art has been her primary source of joy and exploration for her creativietiy. When she was old enough she knew she wanted to be an artist more than anything else, she went to attend art school.

About Me: Meet the Artist ConceptWitch ~Merry Meet Traveler!~  Memento Vivere! The artist and writer behind the Skyhaven project! I got into flight rising because my partner played it while living with me for about a year and after watching him dutifully return to his dragon game every day. I finally caved and made an account. I have fallen in love with the flight rising community and I care a lot about the dragon friends I regularly see pop up in forums. I still consider myself a newer player and somewhat a more casual player even as someone who comes back to the game daily now. ALOT of my dragons are lore dragons and or projects I am trying to keep within a certain breeding color range or a special look I am hunting for. In college I am a newer digital artist from a traditional arts background studying Visual Development and Concept Art! In everyday life I am a gothy art queer, who reads tarot and loves all things witchy. Im a practicing pagan and some of my favorite pastimes are using a variety of divination tools likes runes, cards, dice, bones, pendulums, etc as an introspective tool for myself and others.

Story Spectra, the aspiring artist dragon, once roamed the halls of a vibrant art school, her wings brimming with dreams of creating magical masterpieces. However, fate had different plans, and illness forced her to leave the classes she loved. It had been a difficult time in having to leave her dream school and the fun of her fellow artist friends and kind art professors who had taught her to laugh and how to hold a pencil or paintbrush just so. Disheartened, Spectra returned home, her wings heavy with disappointment. Her sketchbook was left empty and unused for a few sad weeks while she recovered her strength under the gentle care of her family, till she was once again able to move about more on her own. Not quite as weakened as she was when the illness had first reared its fierce head and changed the course of her future so unexpectedly. Much recovered but not yet fully abled, aided by a medicinal dragons recommended prescription and with lots of breaks and rest periods. She began to doodle, then draw, and then paint once again. Doing her best to be gentle with herself when her art didn’t look quite right or how she had remembered her abilities used to be at her best. |
One afternoon as she painted the mural background of bright blue sky her mind wandered. Painting from a happy memory, Spectra envisioned butterflies dancing in the warm sunlight of a meadow. To her surprise, the butterflies on her mural walls seemed to come alive. With every stroke of her brush, her painting had began to come alive. The butterflies were taking flight across the mural walls. Among the hand painted cotton candy fluffy clouds painted on her ceiling. In awe, Spectra realized that her paintings now moved and danced, just like the butterflies from her cherished memory. As she dipped her brush into vibrant hues, a newfound draconian magic infused her strokes with enchantment. She watched as the innate magic within her had unlocked the exciting outcome that her art could transcended static images, turning into living, breathing visual storytelling. Excitement bubbled within her as she experimented with her newfound magical ability, each stroke breathing life into her creations.
As Spectra painted, her studio transformed into a haven of enchantment. The colorful robins and swallows she’d painted next now soared across her canvases. Painted trees swayed with unseen breezes, and waves rippled with the energy of the ocean. The very essence of her imagination infused her art, creating a world where her happy memories merged with her vibrant imagination moved and danced in perpetual motion. In the warmth of her studio, surrounded by the joyous flutter of animated butterflies, Spectra realized that even in adversity, creativity could flourish, and flourish she did.
A few months later, Word of Spectra's magical art spread, and soon, the gallery space she later displayed her works in echoed with the admiration of dragons who marveled at the animated wonders she had conjured. Spectra's art had become a celebration of life, a testament to the resilience of her creative spirit and of conquering her illness. The once-disheartened dragon had discovered a new path—one where her paintings not only adorned the walls but also told stories that danced with the joy of happy memories. Her art was a symphony of colors, and an enchanting dance that brought happiness not only to her but to all who beheld her magical creations. The artist dragon, once confined by illness, now soared on the wings of her newfound draconian magic. Her wings now painted with the colors of newfound inspiration, and her heart filled with the magic of art that brought joy not only to herself but to everyone who witnessed the enchanting tales she would weave on canvas.
She later went on to teach others the magical ability she had discovered, refined and later honed as a mastered skill. The magical art of visual story telling and animation
