You step into a room to the left of the main entrance hall, the walls reaching up to astonishing heights, bookshelves and candles for what feels like three Imperials stacked on top of one another. It was- beautiful, deep blues and purples painted the walls, golden pillars and arcs with intricate designs holding everything together, and flecks of white mimicking stars scattered throughout it all. If you didn’t know any better, you would’ve thought you were up in the night sky. Looking back down you notice books and papers scattered all over the floor of this one particular area, a single Spiral at the far end, a desk behind them. They were abnormally small, you would’ve assumed they would’ve been a juvenile had it not been the faded scars on their person. They look up, you could see them start to shake as their eyes land on yours.

“Oh goodness me! I didn’t know we were going to have company today! Pardon me, sorry for the mess-” They stutter on, scrabbling to put everything in order. “STATUE d-didn’t tell me we were going to have visitors,” they turned their head quickly to a statue close by, worry mixed in with the glare. Creating a path with the papers, they slipped through and held out their hand, using the other to adjust their glasses, you two shake, handshake light yer firm. “M-My name is Flickerson, Flick for short, He/They pronouns! I’m the- uh- well they call me The Keeper of this here city. I- keep track of all the important documents a-and and logs in case we need them. Most recently there’s been a lo-lot of uh- criminal- cases?” His eyes wander off as he speaks, darting from one thing to another, he fidgets in place, tail twitching and claws tapping. He looks back at you and inhales, trying to calm himself down.

Flick speaks a bit slower, trying to regain control. “Whatever you need, you can ask me. I know where everything is, and if I’m not available you can ask one of my 3 assistants! Glowspell, NAME, and, (probably the least helpful here),” He whispers. “STATUE.” He gestures at the statue he glared at earlier. “Now, Glowspell is- well she is located on the higher levels of the building due to her n-natures of eating important paperwork. I-I’ve discussed with the Council for- of replacing these papers with tablets or finding other materials to m-make these out of but- well, they’re working on it I’m sure!” Flick turns around, starting to pace in circles, muttering to himself. His head jerks up, then to STATUE. “That’s a good idea! Here, let me show you something.” Flick takes your hand, and spreads his wings. “This’ll only take a minute.”
