Heart Rose 		Hirudo may seem frightening to some, her dark scales hiding her in the murky waters of Abersteth's canals, the only warning of her appearance a flash of fin and gleam of ruby eyes and ivory fangs...
Startling to be sure, but really she just wants to help you, honest!

Few are more skilled than her at bloodletting, her Plague heritage allowing her not only immunity to any "misfortunes" (her own words) in the blood, but also giving her the expertise to identify them and advise treatment. Hirudo's skills are well sought-after by Abersteth's physicians, and she has the rare privilege of being one of Mary's primary confidants-- and the even rarer privilege of being considered one of her friends.
Shy but cheerful and incredibly friendly, Hirudo greets friends and prospective patients alike with the same wide, toothy grin. She's happy to receive visitors after business hours as well-- doubly so if they bring her a hearty bouquet of aconite and roses, maybe with a blood spath in the middle~?
