EpicanthicInterstice, more commonly known as Epi, was found (or rescued or traded for, depending on who is telling the story) by his brother GloomWoken. His egg was found amongst ruins somewhere between the Foxfire Bramble and Murkbarrow Close; deep among the Tangled Wood, realm of the ShadowBinder. Epi is devoted to his brother, who he considers his best friend. His mothers UndineSky and SylvestriBrine delight in both their sons; though admittedly they were a bit shocked to become parents by finding GloomWoken's egg when they were barely hatchlings themselves.

Epi is very fond of Penelope who was later welcomed into MoonRun's clan. She is fond of him as well but was raised to be very cognizant of her heritage and so in order to accept his suit, she has some requirements.
