Dearest Mother & Father,

I love it here. The gardens are perfect, and I can plant as many flowers as I like! I do miss the Glasshouse and the ATOM labs (and especially you guys,) but I think this is the place I’ve been searching for. I know you’ll say my adventurous spirit will make me move on in a couple of weeks - and believe me, you would usually be right - but something here just feels… like home. It’s hard to explain, but it’s there, and it’s not something I’ve really felt before. I guess your Daisy is finally growing roots!

As I write this, the sun is setting, and the sky is SO beautiful! I wish I could take a picture for you, but I left that camera Ellie gave me back in my room. I’ll make sure to take a photo next time! The fireflies are starting to come out, too, and they look like little living embers. It’s pretty magical. Nothing like the Glasshouse - but here, I can actually see the sky, so I think that’s a huge bonus. Maybe you can visit me soon! I would love to show you around.

The clan leader, Abyss, is very kind, and I feel well protected here. I can tell she cares very much about her clan, and she welcomed me like one of her own children. To be honest, I could sit outside in this little flower garden all day, sniffing the nectar and watching butterflies. It’s pretty therapeutic. I don’t even feel lonely by myself here - it’s like I’m being watched over by something, though I wouldn’t be able to tell you who (or what.)

That reminds me - I actually created a mini whirlwind today! Make sure to tell dad! I’m sure he’ll be proud. I made some leaves dance in a pretty pattern, but I could only hold it for about thirty seconds before I lost my grip. With all of this time on my hands I’ve been able to practice more, so I’m sure that I’ll keep on improving! I conjure lightning more than wind, but I’m hoping that I can coax both to become equal in power. It’s a work in progress!

By the way, how’s that new plant species you guys are working on? The last I remember, you accidentally made it carnivorous and it ate one of Solani’s favorite glasswings. I bet Ellie was pretty mad at you! Better watch out for her when it comes to Solani… she’s insanely protective of him (which I’m sure you’ve gathered by now, you LIVE with her! What am I blathering on about?) Anyway - just update me on the progress, I’m so curious!!! Hopefully it smells good (and NOT like that last corpse flower experiment you guys made! I love you, but… just… no. Gross. Blegh.)
