Lore (TW: death, injuries):WATCHGOD’s origin is rather unfortunate, falling victim to corruption and greed for power. With their parents unable to take care of them, WATCHGOD spent most of their childhood as an orphan.

The situation changed in their early teens when they were adopted by one of the most influential clans in the Lightning flight. WATCHGOD’s excitement didn’t last long thought- instead of a new family, they found themselves isolated in their own lair before a few months later, being boxed up and placed in a helicopter by a group of strangers.

After a 3 day flight in pure darkness of the small wooden box, the sound of the engine finally died down- the helicopter landed at it’s destination. A few hours later, they were released into their new territory- a large, fenced area of a rainforest. It was completely different than anything WATCHGOD had ever seen- odd scents and unfamiliar plants, completely new and different creatures. This place wasn’t in Sornieth.

A few days later, they met a second dragon- a larger, and aggressive one. It was not hard to tell this dragon had lost their sanity completely. Thought most of their encounters were hostile and they often fought each other, after years they had both become adults and had multiple clutches of dragonets WATCHGOD was usually the one to raise- the other dragon tended to their own territory; at least, they didn’t attack WATCHGOD during these times. Slowly, the barely sane WATCHGOD learned to live in the new environment, behaving more like an animal than a dragon.

One morning, WATCHGOD returned to their lair with a freshly killed deer, mortified to find all of their just a few days old dragonets bleeding out on the ground, an unfamiliar looking group of dragons standing over them and talking in an unknown language. Identifying there was no saving their children, they turned back and fled. While running in panic, they ran into a burning unfamiliar building, the unknown species terrorizing everything in sight. Shocked, they tripped over a dead body. They turned around. It was a Pearcatcher in a lab coat? Here? They snapped back as they heard a roar, but it was too late. One of the hostile unknown dragons spotted them and fired something at them from something that looked like a small canon- the missile shot their direction exploded, and WATCHGOD lost consciousness.

They woke up, in pain. The forest seemed peaceful and there wasn’t a trace of the hostile dragons. The spiral got up. Something was… different about them. Their heart felt weaker, and their mind was buzzing constantly, giving them a constant headache. WATCHGOD wandered the forest, broken. The scientist… this must’ve been a laboratory, or a research center. They were a subject in some sort of cruel experiment. The Lightning flight clan was trying to populate this unknown land and they were the one to test whether a dragon could survive in these cruel lands. Now when he looked at it, it made so much sense…

Suddenly, they heard a loud crush and the ground shook beneath them. Curious, they set off in the direction of the commotion. After a day, they found a badly injured imperial soldier. A Sornieth dragon! This dragon could bring them back to Sornieth! They would nurse this dragon back to full health and they would save them both, surely…
