Biography

Birthday hatch. 2 off Naomi primary, 3 off Naomi secondary. Might make her into a false/imposter Naomi

Massive wip. Putting fragments of a story in atm to figure out a full story.

Prelude: Order and Chaos had been been searching for years now for an object that an ancient scroll had theorised the existence of. When they were just hatchlings, Order and Chaos had found a scroll that shared the power of their ancestor and how she had vanished. There were many theories that had formed surrounding the sudden rise and disappearance of Naomi. The twins favourite theory was that their ancestor was fated to be reincarnated, found as a mysterious egg hidden somewhere in Sornieth. In their search, they encountered a travelling healer who happened to have the ability to see into ones future and what they were fated for. The travelling healer had been someone they encountered many times in their search for the object. After encountering the twins enough times, he had eventually asked them what it was that they were searching so desperately for. When the twins hesitantly told him, he offered up his services for a price. If they can find him a safe clan to join, then he would use his abilities to help them locate the object they were seeking. Order and Chaos knew that the clan they had joined recently had been looking for a healer. Once the healer had gotten established into his new clan, he fulfilled his end of the deal. Allowing for the twins to know where to find the object. Hidden away deep inside an oceanside crystalline cave was a lone arcane elemental egg.

Order and Chaos had brought the egg back to their clan. When questioned by their clanmates about the egg, they shrugged it off as having found an abandoned egg while out fishing. A half truth, nothing more than a little white lie to prevent the others from learning about their true intentions with the mysterious egg. The twins had a room saved just for the purpose of housing whatever hatched from the egg that they found. A large room filled with everything a budding magic user could ever need and then some. The room was based in one of the upper layers of the cave, with a tower that allows for dragons to get a perfect view of the night sky. Everything was planned to be perfect for the hatchling to become a powerful magic user. If they were lucky, then perhaps they could finally bring positive attention to their bloodline and make their ancestors proud. Eventually, the time came when the egg finally hatched. Order and Chaos were thrilled. The hatchling, while not quite the same colours as Naomi, looked very similar. The twin decided that this must be fate, and gave the hatchling the name Renata. From there, they taught her everything they knew, and enlisted the help of those in the clan who were talented with magical forces such as future sight and dark magic. Just like the scroll Order and Chaos had found long ago had predicted, Renata seemed to have an unnatural prowess for magic. As she got older, Order and Chaos mentioned their plans to her. Renata was given the daunting task of making Sornieth believe that Naomi (and by extension her descendants) were not to be feared and hated, but loved and accepted. It was even more ideal to get Sornieth to worship and celebrate Naomi's existence, but even Order and Chaos knew that was a near-impossible task, even for Renata.

Renata took a deep breath. She had been practicing her magic for a while now, and had been trying to come up with a proper plan for what she has been training for her whole life. If she was going to make art of some kind, she would need supplies, and if needed, someone to work alongside her. She wasn't sure if she would be able to trust another dragon with her mission. Renata scanned her bookshelf for anything that might hold the answer to her question. Eventually, her search proved to be fruitful. Near the top of her towering bookshelf, there was an ancient book, predicted to have been from the First Age at the latest. Carefully flipping through the pages, Renata soon found a section that piqued her interest. A section labelled as "soul bonding ritual" seemed like it showed promise. Renata scanned the section to see what the ritual consisted of. A wicked smile grew on her face when she saw that all she needed was some unhatched dragon eggs and the willingness to make her soul permanently bound to the entities that the ritual would summon. Renata paused, trying to make out the faded and scratched out words in the instructions on how to perform the ritual.

"Soul bonding ritual:
To perform the soul bonding ritual, one will need unhatched dragon eggs. When performing the ritual, a portal from will open and a will come out of the portal. When the is fully out of the portal, trap it within the spell circles pictured below and bind its form to the dragon egg. Once this is accomplished, the will now have a corporeal form in the form of the dragon resting inside of the egg. When the egg hatches, the will be bound to your soul and will protect you until your own demise. The soul bonding process forces the to do whatever you want it to do, and it is not able to harm you once the ritual is complete. Be warned that----"

Renata noticed that the rest of the page was damaged beyond repair. Whatever the warning was, she could not afford to worry about. Not when she had all she needed to have loyal companions, bound by soul, who could assist her in her plans. Luckily for her, she had received notice about something Galore was planning on handing out from his travels. Flying up the spiraling tower attached to her room, Renata opened up one of the windows at the top and flew out. Making her way to the trading post, Renata set her sights upon Galore and the large pile of mysterious eggs behind him. After exchanging polite greetings, Renata explained that she was sent by the progens of her lair to pick up their gift. Upon being presented with the gift, two of the many mysterious eggs, Renata summoned a set of magic hands from her jewelry. Securing the eggs with her magic, Renata made her way back to her tower and carefully slipped back into the open window, trying to not damage the eggs.

Renata had finally gathered all the materials needed for the ritual. She meticulously drew the spell circle on the floor and gently placed one of the eggs within it. Moving outside of the spell circle, Renata started to recite the spell. A loud humming noise starts to manifest itself as a loud crack reverberates throughout the room, a flaming portal opening as the whirring noise intensifies. A large shadowy figure emerges from the portal, its massive claws dragging on the floor and leaving deep cuts. The portal seems to open wider and wider, almost looking like a gaping maw. The entity extends more limbs out of the portal and almost appears to grab onto the edges of the portal, as if it were trying to rip open the tear in reality to hasten its arrival in the realm that it had been summoned into. Eventually, the last of its warped form emerges from the portal, and in its newfound freedom, it immediately loses it again as it steps directly into the spell circle. The entity's body lights up with magic, the spell circle lighting up and snaking its way around its body like vines. Letting out a hellish screech, the shadowy figure whips its body around, trying to find who had trapped it, slamming its clawed hands down and leaving small craters around it. Renata tries to keep her cool and remain out of sight, continuing on with the spell. When she saw that the shadowy figure was fully contained by the spell circle, she finished the spell, causing the creature to let out one last screech before its form was absorbed into the egg. The egg briefly glowed before fading to a darker colour than before. Renata let out a sigh of relief, knowing that the spell was successful.

Renata kept tabs on the egg that now contained the entity that she had summoned, as if she didn't trust that the spell had actually worked. The longer the egg went without hatching, the more concerned Renata became. Did she mess up in the spell? As Renata moved to pull the spell book from her bookshelf, she heard a loud crack that reverberated through the room.

For later in the story perhaps?:

"Call off your guard dog. I just want to talk." the spiral spoke in a low tone, almost as if he didn't want to anger the aether standing over the fae more than he already had.

Renata sighed and signaled for the aether to stand down, and the aether moved accordingly, moving to stand behind the cloaked fae. Despite being told to stand down, the aether stayed on guard, never letting its gaze leave the spiral. The spiral cleared his throat and straightened his posture before speaking again. "I am only going to ask this once more. Who are you, and what is your association with Naomi?"

Renata thought intently about the spiral's questions. She had to answer these questions carefully, lest she anger the spiral and risk losing everything she has worked towards since she hatched. "I am Remona. My association with Naomi is irrelevant and non-existent. Now, do you have any other questions?"

The spiral growled, not fully believing what the fae had told him. He knew that if he returned to his boss without any information he would surely face the consequences.
