"Heya, Big Sis! Wait up!"

Inei and Shatter went into the Forest together. It was creepy, but she assured him that everything would be all right. They needed to make their own way, after all! Plus, there were some nice, sunny spots, besides the ominous shadows that licked at the edges of Inei's vision. He shivered. But... it seemed okay, right? They took a break in the light of the warm sun, as it pierced through the trees. Inei thought he noticed something funny... Did he look... different now? And Shatter... did she always have plants all around her? Actually, was her name always Shatter? Inei shook his head, his brow furrowing. Something was going all weird. But then, those plants released spores, which glimmered gold and came to rest in Inei's eyes. He sneezed, and he tried to bat them out of his eyes! But then... He felt calm. He could see--really see. He could tell that they weren't always this way. The magic helped Inei see, to help him retain his sense of self. He went over to Shatter and nuzzled her. He whispered her former name, but she only stared blankly back at him. She told him that her name was Shatter. Inei gave her a soft smile and nodded. "Sounds good, Shatter... Now, let's see if we can find something to eat, aight?" Shatter chuckled softly. "Hm. You always did rather like the blackberries that grow in places such as this... I suppose we can do that, then." Inei growled playfully, daring Shatter to run. She only ambled slowly forward. He slowed down, so she could catch up. "Ah, it seems you have beaten me once again, Little Brother." "Hm. Well, I guess winning isn't everything, is it Sis?" Inei knew this was still his sister. She may not remember her old self fully like he could, but she was still the same dragon. And he would never leave her side, no matter what!
