Midas

Midas protects the Scourge Clan's hoard. He guards all the treasure, gems, food and other trinkets and material the clan has gathered.

His scales are shiny, thick and very sturdy. This makes his wings a nearly impenetrable shield, as he drapes them across the hoard to keep it safe. Some say Midas himself is made of pure gold, for the way his scales seem to gleam and reflect the sunlight.

He resides in the Warden's Hollow. Here, he nests amidst the treasure, his wings always spread out over the clan's stockpile. The younger dragons in the clan are tasked with bringing him food and water occasionally, sometimes sticking around to listen to the stories he has to tell of his past.

Midas is one of the oldest dragons in the clan, and used to live in the Sunbeam Ruins, nesting by the Sundial Terrace, where he would soak up the warm sunrays all day long. He seems to pull his energy from sunlight, though he never explains how exactly this works.
The Warden's Hollow has an open ceiling, right above the stockpile, to allow sunlight to shine down directly onto Midas. When the light hits his scales at the right angle, they reflect it off all over the cave walls in little specks of colours, like a thousand little rainbows.
