Biography
A dragon wanders toward your lair, appearing curious and friendly.
Looking you over, they seem to approve. Quietly, either due to their nature or in an effort to seem polite, they initiate conversation.
“Hello.”
They look over to what they assume to be your lair. It’s obvious that they have sparsely—if ever—left their clan up to this point, and they still have much to learn about the world.
“I like your home.”
It is clear that the dragon is not fully familiar with proper conversation, perhaps from a sheltered life. Still, they seem kind.
“Do you have room for one more?”
As if to excuse themselves of their previous statement, they add:
“I don’t have to stay here; but whether I stay or go, to commemorate my travels, I would like a name—from you. You can even send me to serve your god. Or I will happily live with you, or move on. It is your choice.”
They wait, eager to behold your decision.

Light vs Arcane

It was on the last day of our campaign when my mentor and predecessor, Lightless, chose to join Lightweaver's army. The way she talked of exaltation I was surprised she hadn't already joined her forces in battles past; I suppose she wanted to pass on her knowledge first. It feels strange, being the new keeper instead of an apprentice looking over Lightless' shoulders and asking a million questions. I know we will see each other again many times;- she already promised to be there anytime I guided more dragons interested in exaltation towards Lightweaver's domain;- but even so, I do miss her and will need some time to get used to my new role. For the time being, I've decided to distract myself by noting down the names of all those we helped guide this week... Starting, of course, with my mentor herself:
Fighters Level 10-9 Fighters are exceptionally skilled in combat, able to hold their own even when fighting against great odds. Many of them join teams to patrol the Sunbeam Ruins, actively seeking out and fighting against Shade incursions. |
Defenders Level 8-6 Defenders might not be the combat prodigies that Fighters are, but they are still able to hold their own against common threats. As such, they often find employment in roles which see them protecting other dragons if need be. |
Civilians Level 5-4 Civilians escorted by Lightless are taught at least a basic level of self-defense, though their combat skills are rarely put to the test. They make up the backbone of Lightweaver's exalted; many are scholars or crafters. |
edit: got an error because the bio was too long so... back to the drawing board, I suppose :')
