Kayda

Kayda hatched in an orphanage, as her egg was found on the doorstep one morning. During her childhood, she didn't receive much love and attention, as there were many orphans to care for. She did learn the basics of reading, writing, survival, and other things. Among those other things was The Search, which all Guardian dragons did when they came of age. Throughout childhood, Kayda couldn't wait to leave on The Search, as that meant she'd leave the orphanage forever. When she finally became an adult, she left immediately, with only food and her skills. She wandered for years, looking for her charge. When she reached Water, she found it in the Clan of Swirling Tides. The newly formed clan needed members, just as many new clans needed members. But there was something about this clan that drew Kayda to it. Perhaps it was the leader. Or her mate. Or the Arcane dragon. Whatever it was, Kayda joined the clan. Through her years of wandering, she had grown cold, distant, and unsocial, snapping at dragons for little things. Despite that, she helped the clan flourish, and now enjoys the benefits as a senior member. After she had settled in, a Grey River Flight appeared and befriended her. Kayda is strong, antisocial, and, on the inside, very kind. She now spends her time training, fighting, with Night, and with her children who are still in the clan.
