From a young age Zey has been studious in learning how to listen for signs from Eywa and has shown to have an inquisitive mind. Years of training in the role of Tsakarem opened the young Pearlcatcher’s eyes to the careful but necessary balance of the ecosystem of Eywa. None took more than they needed or wasted needlessly, and there was no unnecessary killing deep in the heart of the Pandoran jungle where their clan resided. The Tawkami are dedicated to keeping a watchful eye on the balance of Pandora and known for their continuous pursuit of knowledge. As a young hatchling Zey was often described as “too curious for his own good” and was often seen with all sorts of small animals. From snails and insects to small geckos and frogs, no matter how many times his parents picked the creatures off of their small son it seemed that every time they turned around there was another handful of critters he seemed to find and take in. Even though he has tried to take his mentor’s advice and attempted to become more stoic and serious, his true exuberant attitude always shined through. As he matured and began to take on more serious ceremonies for his training, he began to spend days at a time meditating inside the large healing roses as part of a Tawkami ritual to undergo a spiritual and physical regeneration. His bond with his ancestors and Eywa continued to strengthen as he took the final steps to become the Tsahìk. After completing the Iknimaya and Uniltaron rites, he completed his training and took over the long awaited role. Since stepping into the position Zey has found himself busy with ceremonies and offering advice to those in his clan when he isn’t secluded for one of his own personal meditative rituals.
