Biography
Hydrous
Hydrous stood at the rim of a shallow ring of water at the Tsunami Flats, a stream of water constantly flowing across her claws where she stood. In one hand, she held her spellbook, balanced in her claws on its spine, flipped to a page she was referring to. With her other hand outstretched, she concentrated on a pool of water before her and focused on nudging the tidal waves in her preferred direction instead. The water gurgled as it responded to her magic, its flow and movement not the easiest to control, but slowly, it began to inch in her commanded direction. Hydrous exhaled a relieved breath she had not realized she had been holding.
Her water magic gave her a sense of purpose and she could not imagine life without it again. She had been so lost in the fire domain; feeling incomplete, out of place. She hadn't felt as though she belonged in her birth element. And so, she ventured out, walking in the direction of the water domain - as though it pulled her closer, as though her colours indicated her affinity for its magic. She picked up a spellbook along the way and reading the spells inside, she felt an unmistakable sense that it had been waiting for her to come along. This was what she was meant to do.
She smiled to herself, watching the flow of the water pick up speed. Her magic spell of filtration cleaned its impurities before the water was collected in a hidden tank beneath the sand, ready for her clan's use. Satisfied with her day's work, Hydrous closed her spellbook and began making her way home.
