Friend! Welcome! I am Stonehide of the Penumbra clan! I serve as our official welcome committee. Well, its less a committee and more of a "welcome individual", but that doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? Oh, sorry, I lost myself in ramblings again. How may I be of service?
What does the Penumbra Prominence stand for?
The Penumbra Prominence is the sacred grounds on which a found family resides. Each member comes from a different background and different circumstances. Some of us were born here, others stumbled in on broken wings with broken hearts. No matter our origin, we are all children of the mother and father, Thistleclaw and Icedance. [/color]

What is a "found family"?
A found family is exactly what it sounds like. Not all of us have the privilege of a loving family united by genetics. We have all searched to find the group who will love us unconditionally and accept us as we are. Perhaps you're familiar with the Cullens from Twilight, the Addams family, or even the Gaang from ATLA. We're not much different from that.

Why are there so many bogsneaks?
Bogsneaks have no inherent area to call home. They were accidents born out of chemicals and curiosity. Perhaps Bogsneaks act as a mascot for the Penumbra Prominence. Children born with no ties to the world, left to wander until they found their place. I am being informed by the AllMother, Star, that she does think they are cool, which certainly plays a part in their large numbers. Despite this, all dragons are welcome in the Prominence, and we can't wait to meet you.
