Biography

Lights in the Deep
Strange lights can be seen in the distance when exploring the depths. Such a sight isn't uncommon due to the various dragon genes, fish and beasts that can possess bioluminescence, or some form of glow magic. There have been rumors lately that if a dragon suited to land was born in the abyss and were to spend a large period of time deep in the abyss. They could possibly develop unique lights and patterns unlike any known gene!

There have been reports of odd glowing beings that resemble coatls that display said unique patterns. Their wings seem feather shaped but they seem to be smooth, translucent and glowing fins. Coatls with their feathery wings tend to be rather slow and clumsy in water but these strange coatls in the abyss are unusually agile in the water. Perhaps their feathers have turned into fins instead?

Sightings of one of these possible subspecies of coatl are extremely rare and they tend to avoid dragons and large settlements. They do seem to be real, since undertides living below the twilight zones have seen them slightly more often. The undertides call them sea butterflies for the flapping motion of their wings and the beautiful lights that shine across their body.
